A little explanation on this piece. Ryosuke has answered our Mail Art Call with a piece from his own Mail Art Call (pretty cool, right?)! These compositions are “a thing” in the Mail Art community. The Organizer (in this case, Ryosuke Cohen), sets a topic/theme and participants send either a hand-carved stamp OR the equivalent number of paper, faux postage to meet the call. The Organizer then compiles X number of Prints including all of the Contributors (in this case, FORTY SIX!) and sends one compilation piece to each Contributor. (whew!)
Needless to say, I was blown AWAY upon receiving this piece today. It is amazing to behold, and one can spend many few minutes getting lost in all there is to see here.
